Google Chat
Google Chat.
* מתג הפעלה וכיבוי מהיר.
* תמיכה ב-Google Chat.
* תמיכה בצ'אט מתוך Gmail.
* אפשרות בחירת עוצמת חסימה.
* מצב אנטי־פוקוס.
* כפתור צף בתוך העמוד.
* ניהול חריגים לפי אנשי קשר.
* אפשרות לחסום לכולם חוץ מרשימה מוגדרת.
* אפשרות לאפשר לכולם ולחסום רק רשימה מוגדרת.
* מוני בדיקה לזיהוי בקשות חשודות וחסומות.
* עיצוב ממותג של אוקיי נט.
* פרטי קשר נוחים מתוך חלון התוסף.

Chat Quiet – Chrome Extension for Reducing Read Receipts in Google Chat
Chat Quiet is a Chrome extension by Ok Net, designed to give users more control, privacy, and peace of mind while using Google Chat. The extension attempts to reduce or block “read” status updates and read receipts in Google Chat, including when using Google Chat inside Gmail, with a quick toggle, test mode, blocking strength settings, and contact-based exception management.
In short: the extension allows you to open and check messages in Google Chat more quietly, without every conversation view immediately marking the message as read for the other side. In addition, you can choose whether to block read receipts for everyone, allow read receipts only for specific contacts, or do the opposite – allow read receipts for everyone and block them only for selected contacts.
In the digital work environment, we receive many messages throughout the day: from customers, suppliers, employees, partners, and other contacts. It is not always convenient to reply immediately, and sometimes you just want to check what the message is about before deciding when to respond. In practice, when you open a conversation in Google Chat, the other side may see that the message was read and expect an immediate reply. Chat Quiet was created for exactly these situations: to allow calmer message reading, without unnecessary pressure and without committing to reply right away.
The extension integrates into the Chrome browser and is intended for Google Chat users, both on the Google Chat website itself and when Chat is open inside Gmail. After installation, a convenient control window appears, where you can enable or disable blocking, choose the blocking strength, enable anti-focus mode, show a floating button inside the page, and track diagnostic counters that show whether the extension detected or blocked suspicious requests related to read-status updates.
One of the important features of the extension is contact-based exception management. You can choose between several modes:
* Block read receipts for everyone.
* Block read receipts for everyone except specific contacts that you define.
* Allow read receipts for everyone, and block them only for specific contacts that you define.
This allows you to adapt the extension to your personal workflow. For example, you can allow close team members to see that you have read their messages, while blocking read receipts for other contacts. Alternatively, you can keep Chat working normally for everyone, and prevent “read” status only for selected contacts.
Important note: Google Chat does not currently provide users with a simple official toggle to disable read receipts. Therefore, Chat Quiet is not an official Google solution, but an experimental helper tool that works locally in the browser and attempts to detect and block certain actions related to read-status updates. Since Google may change the way Chat works from time to time, the extension may behave differently between accounts, workspaces, or different versions of Google Chat.
The extension is not intended to collect information, does not send message content to any external server, and does not store the content of conversations. Settings are stored locally in the browser, such as enabled or disabled status, blocking strength, test mode, exception list, and diagnostic counters. The purpose of the extension is to provide a simple and useful privacy tool while keeping full control in the hands of the user.
Chat Quiet is especially suitable for users who work frequently with Google Chat and want to manage their time more calmly: business owners, service providers, technicians, managers, support teams, salespeople, office workers, and anyone who receives many messages throughout the day and wants the option to check messages without committing to an immediate response.
The extension includes:
* Quick enable and disable toggle.
* Support for Google Chat.
* Support for Google Chat inside Gmail.
* Blocking strength selection.
* Anti-focus mode.
* Floating button inside the page.
* Contact-based exception management.
* Option to block everyone except a defined list.
* Option to allow everyone and block only a defined list.
* Diagnostic counters for suspicious and blocked requests.
* Ok Net branded design.
* Convenient contact details inside the extension window.
Using the extension is simple: install it, open Google Chat or Gmail, enable blocking mode, choose your preferred operating mode, and continue working as usual. To exclude specific contacts, add them to the list inside the extension window and choose whether the list should represent contacts who will see read receipts or contacts who will not see read receipts.
If something in Chat does not load properly, you can disable anti-focus mode, reduce the blocking strength, or temporarily turn off the extension with one click.
Chat Quiet was developed by Ok Net – Computers and Peripheral Equipment, based on a real need from users who want more quiet, privacy, and control in their daily communication through chat.
