What to include
- Extension store (e.g., Chrome/Firefox/Edge) and store ID
- Proof of control/ownership (if requesting ownership-related changes)
- A clear description of the requested correction or dispute
- Supporting evidence or references
What we may do
- Correct factual errors in public metadata displays
- Add clarifications
- Review automated security signals for obvious parsing/scoring mistakes
- Review an automated maintenance or abandonment assessment shown on your listing
Abandonment assessments
If your extension is shown as “Abandoned” or “Likely abandoned”, you can ask us to review that assessment. It is generated automatically from signals such as the time since your last release, whether the website your listing declares still resolves, the manifest version in use, and whether your install base is declining — so telling us which of those signals is wrong or out of date (for example a new website address, or that the extension is feature-complete and deliberately not being updated) is the fastest route to a correction. The assessment also contributes a penalty to the safety score displayed on your listing, so correcting it updates both. What we do not guarantee
We do not guarantee removal of accurate public information sourced from third-party stores. We do not guarantee that automated safety scores (computed as 100 minus the weighted findings score) will be changed in all cases.
We aim to respond within a reasonable time depending on complexity and verification requirements.
